took a loan and was given the 5 day review period to accept or decline. told the agent who helped with the app I could not afford 229 every two weeks. the agent told me I could change it during the 5 day period. when I called within the 5 days was told I could not change anything-including the amount which is a 2500. minumin in Alabama! I only needed $1000. was not told that! financial institution have a regulation DD that requires banks to disclose important loan info such as that twice- once in writing and again verbally when speaking to customer about the terms of the loan- what crooks! they lied and now have poor desperate people in their grips!

Tell your bank you would like to close your account than open a new account. Don't give Rise Credit your new bank account info. Only mail a money order by certified return receipt.

I have a loan with this Company. I was asked about my pay schedule and explained I get paid every 2 weeks, which would put my 1st payment on 12/24 and then my 2nd on the 6th of Jan. The company did send a list a schueld payments that were Jan 5 and Jan 12 all being the week before I was due to be paid. I contacted the company by phone and was told there would be no problem correcting the dates as long as I did it 24 hours , before they were do. I could do it online. I tried to correct it online and the only days it would except were prior to the due date they had or the actual due date they had, nothing letting me change it after the incorrect date. I called and spoke to someone on the phone and was told that I would have to wait until Monday 24 hours prior to the incorrect due date they have providing , I had not requested it before and only after a 2 Ned payment. Realizing this was going to be a problem, I asked for a supervisor who told me that he could not change my contract , after explaining to him that some of the due dates were a week before my pay period. I asked, if there was a supervisor over him that u could talk and said yes but they do not talk in the phone or handle complaints. I am at a loss here ????

I know exactly how you feel. I was once -YOU.

Yep, I took out a loan with RISE. It was fast, easy money. Funds were in my account the very next day. 5,000.00 Cash.

I was high on the hog. After paying for about 6 months my loan balance was 4,700. I had paid over 1500.00. I was horrified-petrified-terrified-and all the other "fieds".

I did not know what to do. IT WAS ROBBING ME BLIND. Instead of RISING I was FALLING into a deep financial hole of hopelessness. SO GUESS WHAT I DID.

I took four credit cards with 0.00 percent apr and made four balance transfer placing my entire loan balance on my credit cards...PAID OFF RISE. And now I am paying off my credit cards at 0.00 percent interest. Thank The LORD. I am free from RISE.

MY advice to all who read this that is considering a loan from RISE. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD-DO NOT DO IT YOU WILL REGRET IT. PLEASE I BEG YOU.

To those of you that have already taken out this load- I mean loan. PAY IT OFF FAST-EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO WORK SIX PART TIME JOBS- YOUR FUTURE AND YOUR SANITY DEPENDS ON IT.

RISE is not help when you need it, it's a way to turn a problem now into a disaster next week. I cannot imagine anybody has used RISE and didn't hate themselves for it later. I'm luckier than most, I did not submit my finished application after reading their terms. If you are considering RISE, really read the Cost of Services section closely first. If you do, you won't submit your application no matter how desperate you are. No sentient being would.

Fraudulent loan

Got a call from Rise saying they deposited $3500 into my acct & now they want payment. Never heard of them & dont have their money.

Isnt an "online" loan an obvious invitation for identity theft? This seems like an obvious identity theft scam!!!! Reading other peoples reviews only solidifies this reality. And this "approach" to lending money then places the burden of proof on me that I infact did not apply for nor did I receive their "loan".

I would like info on EXACTLY how many other people have had this same experience with this company.

If you don't mind. Thank you.

High rate, but if you can pay back early, worth it!

I don't work for the company. I have extremely horrible credit. I started a new job in September and I needed to fix my car so that I had a way to get there. Rise offered me $2600. I took it even AFTER reading the fine print. I know that I will pay quite a bit more back. However, I am able to keep my job and I will work overtime to double up on the payments and shorten the pay back time. Some have said that they thought the payback was once per month. My loan documents clearly said 'every' payday. I only took out the loan because I knew that I could payback more than the minimum. I am sorry that some feel as though they have been duped, but perhaps the reason the rate is so high is because so many are defaulting BECAUSE they don't read the fine print.

I called to let them know that I ran into an issue with my payment, I did this before it was time to withdraw the funds, I thought that since my payments were always on time they would be willing to help me, instead they told me that they would still try to withdraw the money. I said that makes no sense and will cause an fee. She told me that once it came back to them I would get an email and only then would they try and help me with my payment, WHAT! So I assume they won't help me and I am going to end up with some large fee from them and a hit to my credit report. This seems illegal.

Beware of RISE CREDIT

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I had to apply for a loan to find out the interest rate. It was a ridiculous amount...something like 275%, luckily I didn't follow through. It wouldn't have helped me consolidate some credit cards. It would have put me deeper in debt. Then I asked to have my account erased from their system and they told me they were required to keep loan applications. If I'd known the interest rate was so high, I would never have applied. but that's how they trick you by making you apply to find out how much you're qualified for and how much they're going to charge. Now my credit report has been dinged.

This is a ridiculous company. If you want to pay your loan off in full they need a debt card they will not let you pay in full with a credit card so you can not tranfer funds. The customer service have no idea what they are doing and give you the run around. The interest rate is unbelievable and you feel as though you will never pay this off which is true... You wont. They do not help you with anything. Please do not ever use this company ever its a scam!!!!!!

Oh yes you can pay this loan off with a credit card-Anonymous you need to take your own advice (Educate yourself before posting foolishness and spreading your poison. The world has plenty negativity to go around, you don`t need to add to it.

) because evidently you need to educate yourself before YOU post foolishness and spreading YOUR poison- you seem to be adding to the negativity. I paid off my loan by doing a balance transfer.

Not directly with RISE but directly through my credit card company- they mailed several checks to Rise (I used four different credit cards. SO GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU START BEATING UP ON SOMEONE THAT IS SHARING THEIR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.

Guest

In all fairness to the company which gave you money when you needed it, where in this world do you think you could ever pay off any loan with a credit card. Educate yourself before posting foolishness and spreading your poison.

The world has plenty negativity to go around, you don`t need to add to it.

Make something of yourself, perhaps getting a degree and starting a business. Afterwards, you would not need to borrow any money from online companies.

Rise Credit - Worst Experience

I would recommend them to study or train RISE more about the different legal forms of proof of income as Rise is unable to accept some business proof of income such as bank accounts or income tax . Financial Springleaf accepted my proof of income without any problems and got my loan the same day. I recommend 1000 times Springleaf Financial !!! This company does not accept proof of income that they do not know , but these proof of income are accepted by all financial institutions

Took all of my information, approved me and had me sign paperwork. Stated I would have my money in my bank account the next day.

Received an email stating I was denied after I had been approved. I guess the *** knew I was one who could pay the loan off quickly and didn't want to lose the ridiculous interest payments. Not worth anyone's time and all should steer clear from these jerks. Now I will have to watch my credit even closer because these *** have my info.

Please just go elsewhere if you need a loan.

Not worth the credit inquiry mark it will leave. I think God was watching out for me and having my application denied by these douches.

Loans without employment verification

Well it seems Rise Credit likes to give out loans to people without employment verification. Someone illegally used my name and SS# to get a loan for $4K. They even used a company name that had not been in existence since 2009. If Rise had verified employment they would have found out that #1. That company is no using that name and #2 I have not worked there in over 2 years. Now I'm left to fix everything on my credit report because the *** at Rise Credit were to *** to do a basic employment verification, UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

IF YOU ARE DESPERATE FOR MONEY AVOID THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had to go into a Debt Management Program due to some unforseen circumstances. I have asked for a statement, a contact person, an address and telephone number where the Credit Counseling company could talk with them to lower the APR.

I was sent a computer print out. They are uncooperative trying to get valid information from them in order to get them paid. Avoid these people. If you are desperate for money, talk with your creditors or work out something.

Sell YOUR stuff if you need too. AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS!!!!

The APR is 60%. RUN AWAY!!

This qualifies as predator lending and should be against the law. Not only that, they should be absolutely ashamed and embarrassed for taking advantage of people in desperate situations.

I can agree but at the same time, they are not. Any payday lender do not have to lower the APR.

Thanks to all the reviews. Therefor I won't be submitting an application, even though I need money to go to a specialist and get my meds refilled.

I lost my job a few months ago. I'm in despair.

Approved a Fraudulent Laon, Ruined MY Credit

RISE approved a loan in my name apparently without verifying my address, bank account, employment AND confirming with me via my phone number that I had applied. I understand bad people will steal identities and take out loans in others name, but RISE appears to have just taken someone's app and given them $5,000.00. When the payment was past due they started calling me. At first I thought they were scamming me as I had never heard of them. Then I saw a TV commercial and took this more seriously. Sure enough, after checking my credit score (dropped over 100 pts to the mid-600s), I contacted them. All they seemed to be interested in was collecting money from me. After 3 calls to them I finally got some info from them that the money was deposited into "my" Wells Fargo checking account. I've never had a checking account with Wells Fargo and Wells Fargo confirmed with me there is no account in my name. So, where did the money go?

I filed a complaint with the FTC and with my local Police Department. Now that RISE has agreed I was the victim, they refuse to tell me how this loan was approved in my name. They refuse to tell me what their procedures are to approving loans. My local Police have given me info from their investigation and I have my theory how this happened, but waiting on more facts to come out.

The bottom line is that this company IS just one step away from being a "loan shark" with their combative attitudes and lack of concern. They are in one work, SLIMY.
